The powder on the dead ends should not be simply attributed to "the spray gun is not good enough", nor can it directly promise that the electrostatic cup spray gun will solve all dead ends. Dead corners, deep grooves, inner corners, and recesses in powder spraying are usually affected by the Faraday cage effect, workpiece structure, grounding, powder cloud impact, powder volume, airflow, voltage/current limitation, gun spacing, angle, and spraying sequence. The electrostatic rotating cup spray gun or rotating cup system may have advantages in powder cloud distribution, spray coverage and batch consistency, but whether it is superior to ordinary powder electrostatic spray guns must be verified by the same workpiece, the same powder, the same film thickness target and the same curing conditions. Fixed improvement ratios or absolute win/loss conclusions should not be given until specific model and test data are provided.
