Simply because the equipment can be linked and there are interlocking conditions in the PLC, it cannot be proved that the safety interlocking is complete. The complete safety interlock shall be based on the risk assessment and cover the safety function between the reciprocator or robot, conveyor line, paint chamber fan, high voltage electrostatic, powder/paint supply, access control, fire detection and fire suppression system. Hardwire or secure network architecture, fail-safe status, reset conditions, automatic restart prevention, bypass permissions, diagnostic coverage and fat/sat verification should also be confirmed. When specific electrical diagrams, causal matrices and test records are not provided, it is not possible to conclude that any unspecified system is "interlocked and complete".
