Is electrostatic powder coating wasting a lot of product? First, break down powder consumption into these 6 steps for investigation.

When electrostatic plastic powder is seriously wasted, do not directly increase the voltage, reduce the amount of powder or replace the spray gun. It should first be confirmed which part of the "waste" occurs: excessive spraying, no first adhesion of powder, poor recycling of over-sprayed powder, large loss of color change and cleaning, excessive film thickness, rework and scrapping, or unclear metering caliber. The site should take the powder consumption of the unit qualified product as the core indicator, and compare the same conditions with the film thickness, coverage, recycled powder status, powder accumulation in the spray room and rework rate. Common troubleshooting directions include poor grounding, excessive powder fog, excessive gas delivery, inappropriate voltage or current restrictions, unstable gun spacing and angle, unreasonable pendant density, mismatched spray room air volume, damp powder clumping, powder pump powder tube wear, and improper management of recycled powder
