If the electrostatic spray gun isn't producing powder, is the high-voltage transformer faulty? First, distinguish between "no powder output" and "no workpiece output."

Published: July 6, 2026Updated: July 6, 2026

Scope: General electrostatic spraying adjustment logic. This does not replace equipment-specific manuals.

The electrostatic spray gun does not powder, not necessarily the high-pressure bag is broken. The site should first distinguish between two situations: first, the muzzle itself does not emit powder or powder intermittently, which usually gives priority to checking the air source, fluidization, powder pump, powder pipe, nozzle blockage and powder status; second, the muzzle has continuous powder fog, but the powder is not on the workpiece or poor adsorption, then focus on checking the grounding, electrodes, nozzle pollution, high-voltage cables, controller high-voltage output and high-voltage packages. The stronger signals of high-voltage package damage are usually high-voltage cannot be established, the actual voltage/current is abnormal, high-voltage alarm as soon as it is turned on, abnormal discharge, coke taste, ablation and carbonization, loss of pressure after heat engine, or failure with high-voltage module after single-variable replacement of the same model. Before completing these isolations, damage to the high-pressure package should not be directly judged.
