When the solvent-based coating line is changed to water-based paint electrostatic spraying, it can not only be selected according to "high internal power supply efficiency" or "simple external power supply system". Contact-type internal energization will cause high voltage to act directly on the conductive water-based paint or charging parts in contact with the paint. It must be confirmed that the supply paint, reflux, color change, cleaning, waste liquid and maintenance link can form a complete, monitorable and dischargable insulation boundary; non-contact external energization charges the atomized paint droplets through external electrodes, which is usually easier to retain the original grounded paint supply architecture, but it is subject to electrode contamination, space occupation, electric field shielding and charging efficiency are limited by spray geometry. Finally, it should be determined through design review, fat and on-site sat according to the electrical properties of the paint, paint supply frame, color change frequency, safety system, spray room space, workpiece structure and target spraying rate.
