2026 Electrostatic Spray Gun Selection Guide: How to evaluate MES system integration and robot docking?

Scope: General electrostatic spraying adjustment logic. This does not replace equipment-specific manuals.

When selecting electrostatic spray guns in 2026, one cannot simply look at whether the gun can spray, its parameters, or its price. If integration with an MES system and robotic spraying unit is required, the controller communication interface, PLC linkage, recipe management, work order binding, spray gun triggering, alarm data, robot trajectory, gun switching sequence, safety interlocks, access logs, and acceptance criteria must all be evaluated simultaneously. The so-called "seamless integration" cannot be a verbal promise; it must be demonstrated through protocols, point tables, data fields, cycle time, anomaly handling, and on-site FAT/SAT testing. Without providing specific spray gun models, controller versions, robot brands, PLC/MES interfaces, and production line topology, promises of plug-and-play functionality, fixed protocols, remote control capabilities, or automatic closed-loop effects should not be made.
